about me

I love this quote because I believe that the best designs are the simplest. It might seem easy to design something, but it isn’t always easy to make it look sophisticated.

As a teenager, I loved everything that has to do with design- interior, fashion, industrial, photography, graphic. My eyes just gravitated towards things that were bold yet simple, unique and clever. While kids collected sports cards, I collected business cards and loved looking at how many ways it can be designed. I found beauty in typography because I didn’t just see letters I saw form and shape. I knew right away that the design industry specifically in graphic was where I needed to be and where I wanted to go.

Originally from the midwest, I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work for a wide range of industries such as retail, food services, industrial businesses, and non-profit organizations. I am currently working as a visual/graphic designer at zulily in Seattle as well as a consulting senior designer for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh in Colorado. I love doing what I’m doing and so thankful that I’m able to follow my passion and apply it in real life!
